Extremity Healthcare, Inc. Acquires Advanced Foot Care Centers, LLP

ATLANTA, Georgia (October 23, 2015) – Extremity Healthcare, Inc. (EHI), a leading provider in the diagnosis and treatment of lower extremity diseases, announces the acquisition of Advanced Foot Care Centers, LLP, (AFC) with multiple locations in Georgia and Tennessee. The Podiatry Subsidiary of EHI, Village Podiatry Centers, LLC, was founded by CEO, David N. Helfman, DPM, FACFAS, who truly introduced “The SuperGroup” concept to the Podiatry profession.

The addition of Advanced Foot Care Centers further expands EHI’s reach across Georgia and into Tennessee. “The combination of AFC and EHI, as well as the utilization of our proprietary patient based “one stop shop” model, will improve the physicians’ quality of life and positively impact the patients’ experiences and outcomes”, said Dr. Helfman.

“Bringing the CEO of AFC, Ira Kraus, DPM, into our family of healthcare companies will result in greater awareness and brand recognition of EHI in the Podiatry profession”, added Mitch Hilsen, DPM and COO of EHI.

Dr. Helfman explains, “A partnership was formed with EHI/Village Podiatry Centers and Advanced Foot Care Centers to help strengthen and prove the scalability of our model in the southeast. Our unique and proprietary processes will provide AFC and their physicians greater access to many group owned ancillary services that most physicians currently refer to outside entities.”’

EHI will use the existing brand reputation of both AFC and Dr. Kraus to leverage the expansion of its model on a local, regional and national level. “After assessing various industry specific models, EHI, by far, has the structure and expertise to become a
nationally known brand. They have done what they preach which was a key deciding factor in joining their organization”, states Dr. Kraus.

Advanced Foot Care, LLP, is now a wholly owned subsidiary of EHI and will continue to operate under the name of AFC. The acquisition of AFC was accomplished under the umbrella of transparency, trust and goodwill.
